It has been reported by Sky News that Carlyle Group are seeking City advisers regarding a possible sale or flotation of Integrated Dental Holdings [IDH] which includes Dental Directory and Dental Buying Group.

 

The business could be valued at £1bn.

 

IDH has had many owners over the years, and in 2011 enlarged with the purchase of Associated Dental Practices. in 2012 and 2013, IDH purchased companies supplying them with goods and services to create a more vertical business.

 

The second largest company in the dental practice market, Oasis Dental Care, is also owned by private equity companies, and changed hands in 2013 in a deal valued at £185m.

 

Integrated Dental Holdings declined to comment on this story.
