The owner of a well-established private dental practice in the Hertfordshire town of Ware has taken to Facebook to promote his willingness to help people in terrible pain who are unable to access an NHS dentist.

Direct to consumer (DTC) orthodontics is just the sort of service where the public might hope for some regulation to protect them from possible harm. For some time now the two regulators that supposedly protect the public when it comes to dentistry in the UK, have been remarkably hands off.
With the dental access crisis continuing, and many of the government’s own MPs demanding that something is done, a variety of measures are being used to try and halt the persistent negative headlines
