GDC assist police in an illegal practice prosecution
The General Dental Council (GDC) has worked with the police and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to successfully prosecute a man for the illegal practice of dentistry. Last month, Mr Primo Miguel Pena, of Pilton Place, London SE17, pleaded guilty at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court to unlawfully practising dentistry whilst not registered, contrary to Section 38 (1) of the Dentists’ Act 1984. He has been ordered to pay a total of £665 in fines, costs and victim surcharge fees.
