Dentist Abi Sampa wows on The Voice
Dentist Abi Sampa showed the coaches how to smile on The Voice with her singing on Saturday evening on BBC. Abi, who is 27, qualified two years ago, and sang her version of the Oasis song Stop Crying Your Heart Out, adding an Asian influence.

Danny O'Donoghue was most impressed, and chose Abi to complete his team of ten in this prime time reality show.

"Day to day it's just fillings, root canals, the usual. There was always this little voice at the back of my head telling me that this wasn't really for me. I've always been a musician first," she says. Abi would like to make singing her career.

Her style pulled together Indian vocal gyrations with Western indie music.

Danny O'Donoghue tells her: "The Asian style of singing is so haunting - you don't need words to portray feelings and emotion. And for me that's what I heard."
