New Director of Policy and Professional Services for the BDA
Martin Woodrow has been appointed as the new Director of Policy and Professional Services for the British Dental Association (BDA). He will take up the post in August 2013, taking over from Linda Wallace. He joins the BDA from the British Medical Association, where he has worked in a number of senior roles

Martin is currently National Secretary for the BMA in Scotland, with responsibility for leading the Association’s Scottish policy, member advice, and public affairs functions. Martin was previously head of the BMA’s secondary care division, with responsibility for consultant contract negotiations. He is a graduate of University College London and has an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Martin said: “I am delighted to be joining the BDA in what I realise is a hugely important role for the Association. It is an exciting time for the organisation, with the Association’s new membership structure bedding in and significant challenges facing dentists across the UK. I look forward to playing my part in making sure that the BDA continues to represent successfully the interests of the profession.”
