Dentist offers £3,000 reward after arson attack
A petrol bomb was hurled through a Gateshead dentist's window causing £90,000 of damage to the surgery. The dentist is offering a £3,000 reward after the surgery was set on fire twice in one week. As police continue to hunt the culprits, practice coordinator, Sue Mulholland, has told of her disbelief that someone would want to do so much harm to the clinic.

The Family Dental Clinic has been targeted by firestarters twice in one week. When the mystery arsonists returned for a second time they hurled a petrol bomb through the surgery’s front window causing almost £90,000 worth of damage inside.

The first arson attack happened at the back of the clinic, on Kell’s Lane, at around 5pm on Saturday April 20. The fire caused damage to the disabled entrance to the building. The damage was only minor and staff worked hard over the weekend to put things right in time for Monday morning.

But the arsonists returned, at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night. And this time their homemade bomb gutted the downstairs of the surgery, causing £88,000 worth of damage. The practice owners are now offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
