Health Committee to question PSA

The House of Commons Health Select Committee, chaired by Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, will hold a one-off evidence session with the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which is responsible for overseeing health care regulators including the GDC, on July 5 at 2.30pm.
The witnesses will be:
- George Jenkins, Chair, Professional Standards Authority
- Harry Cayton, Chief Executive, Professional Standards Authority
- Philip Hallam, Assistant Director (Scrutiny and Quality), Professional Standards Authority
The Committee will hear from the PSA on the performance of the professional regulators the PSA oversees and its views regarding the future regulation of health professionals. In addition, the Committee will examine how the PSA has performed in its role as the body responsible for maintaining high standards in professional regulation.
Committee meetings are webcast on Parliament TV and the session will be reported on GDPUK news.
