BDA announces result of PEC elections

Two new members will join the BDA Principal Executive Committee for the 2020-22 triennium. They are Raj Majithia (London) and Laura Cross (Scotland). Re-elected were Alison Lockyer (East Midlands and Central), Victor Chan (South Eastern) and Tony Kilcoyne (UK-wide). They take office on January 1, 2020.

The election of Laura Cross means there are now two women on the Board (out of 15). She is a Restorative Dentistry Consultant and the first dentist to be elected who is not a general dental practitioner. She defeated the incumbent member, Derek Harper.

The number of members voting in the postal ballot was low, turnout ranging from 6% in London to 11.3% in Scotland, with the UK-wide vote being 8.3%.
