COVID-19: Update: BDA has virtual meeting with Minister and CDO

BDA Chair, Mick Armstrong and CEO, Martin Woodrow, had a virtual meeting with the Health Minister, Jo Churchill MP and CDO for England, Sara Hurley, as well as with colleagues from NHS England. UNW’s Dental Business Unit updates its financial advice. Dental teams are stepping up to the challenges of COVID-19.
BDA discusses PPE and urgent care with CDO and Health Minister
In the meeting, the BDA raised their on-going concerns about the existing guidance on, and supply of, personal protective equipment (PPE) and also progress in relation to the establishment of urgent dental care centres in England. ‘The Minister seemed to understand our concerns, and we are expecting clarification on PPE advice in relation to dentistry later this week, as well as a revised Standard Operating Procedure’, the BDA said. NHS England has committed to sharing information about the network of urgent care centres as soon as possible.
