Another dental practice manager has appeared in court after stealing thousands of pounds from her employer.
Lisa Willows of Newton Aycliffe in County Durham, pleaded guilty to one charge of theft by employee.
The Northern Echo reported that the 41 year-old was said to have stolen £8,822.22 from Skinnergate Dental Practice, in Darlington.
The court was told by John Garside, prosecuting, that the practice manager stole the money between October 2019 and October 2020.
The case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report and Willows will return to Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on February 17.
The case closely follows the suspended two-year suspended prison sentence recently given to Jennifer Locke who was convicted at Caernarfon Crown of stealing more than £60,000 from BUPA Dental Care while she was practice manager at the company’s Colwyn Bay and Rhyl branch practices.
