Paul Youds and Paul Sutcliffe have set up iDenUK as a membership based organisation for the benefit of both its members and suppliers, whilst giving the dental professional the ability to obtain local quality engineering support. The company has the resource of more than 70 engineers all within a short distance of the customer’s needs and with specialists in certain fields able to travel that extra mile to give the customer the best. |
It's no secret that the dental trade has been hit by the recent economic downturn. Coupled with this, dentist's fears regarding HTM01-05 have left many holding onto their capital for a worst case scenario in setting up a new decontamination procedure. Add to this the imminent CQC inspections and PCTs increasing their own inspections all adds to the fact that dentists are less likely to make capital equipment purchases.
It is said that all trends are cyclic and we are now seeing a return to the ‘make do and mend' way of thinking. That said many dentists are unaware of engineers that are on their doorstep and will contract an engineer from 50 miles away to carry out repairs, meaning that much of the engineers' chargeable time is from travelling.
By using the iDenUK website (www.iDenUK.com) dentists will be able to click on their location (on a map of the UK) and see a list of independent engineers registered with iDenUK that are local to them. In addition to this the dentist will be able to click on each company and see what products they sell/support, the charges that company makes for service work, details of engineers training records and a short biography on the company.
Best of all this service is free to use! What additional benefits are there to using an IdenUK member?
We offer the following services to our members which in turn benefit the dentist, ensuring a better class of support.
Access to technical Documents
Holiday cover
Sickness cover
Subsidised training
Bespoke CAD plan layouts
Group buying power
Group knowledge base<
Nationwide advertising within targeted publications
Specialist suppliers
Specialist insurance discounts
Our website is now live and we are in the process of recruiting members. We hope that as a result of dental professionals using iDenUK they will see their costs reduce whilst our members are able to focus their work locally to them, increase their profit margin and benefit the environment by reducing their carbon footprint.
iDenUK will be at The Dentistry Show in March 2012 on the Dental Engineering UK stand (H55).
