GDC told to prioritise oral cancer detection
Speaking in response to a question in the House of Lords by dentist Baroness Gardner of Parkes, Earl Howe said that he was asking the General Dental Council (GDC) to increase the priority given to the detection of oral cancer, and to include it as a recommended topic in continuing professional development (CPD) for dentists. There is to be a public consultation on the GDC’s proposals in 2012. |
